Lyon County Commissioners had a brief agenda for their weekly action meeting Thursday.
As part of the other business portion of the meeting, commissioners approved a change to the county’s mileage reimbursement rate. The new rate will come to 72.5 cents per mile to align with both federal and state rates.
As part of their action items, commissioners approved a pair of requests from Lyon County Emergency Communications Center Director Roxanne Van Gundy permitting travel for CTO Donette Hill and Lexis Warkentine to attend the 2026 National APCO Conference in San Antonio, Texas, August 2-5, with costs not to exceed $4,500. Commissioners also approved Van Gundy to attend the 2026 NENA conference, dates of which are tentative.
The first travel request expenses will be paid for out of 911 funds, with no cost for Van Gundy’s travel as she is now serving as the national president of NENA after being sworn in to the position last week.
County Commissioners will reconvene next Thursday at 9 am inside the Lyon County Courthouse Commission Chambers for their regular action meeting.
