Lyon County District Court has a preliminary hearing later this month as part of an attempted murder case.
Shane Eldrige Hulet was arrested last week on suspicion of attempted first-degree murder after allegedly trying to cut Harrison Edwards with a knife July 6. There is an alternate count of aggravated battery – great bodily harm or disfigurement.
Hulet is also charged with interfering with law enforcement.
Hulet will have a prelim July 22. Rick Meier has been appointed as Hulet’s defense attorney.
Separately, charges are pending after an arrest on suspected drug activity this past weekend.
Lyon County deputies arrested Gary Jackson, age and hometown not listed, on suspicion of distributing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia. Deputies also arrested Jackson on suspicion of criminally possessing a weapon.
