A man arrested after an speed-limit-level chase through some Emporia neighborhoods earlier this month is now into the court process.
David Christian Sohn will have a preliminary hearing Aug 5 after his first appearance in Lyon County District Court this past Thursday.
Sohn is charged with one count of flee and elude after the alleged incident July 12, where Emporia Police accused him of going from the area or Roads 130 and J into Emporia before getting arrested near 6th and Rural, following an alleged hit-and-run at 6th and Prairie. Sohn faces 2 counts of criminal damage, including damage to a gate and/or fence at 1333 Road J and a vehicle at an unlisted location. Sohn also faces 1 count of criminal trespass and 2 counts of “violation of duty of driver upon damaging an unattended vehicle or other property” — specifically the fencing and the vehicle.
