Two individuals were hospitalized following a single-vehicle accident in Lyon County Friday morning.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at Interstate 35 mile marker 113 southbound at 9:50 am. KHP says a 2016 Infiniti, driven by 44-year-old Natalie Joan Reed of Pueblo, Colorado, hydroplaned in the area and struck a wall before entering a ditch where it came to a rest.
Both Reed and a passenger, 13-year-old Brennan Reed, were taken to Newman Regional Health with suspected minor injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
