The Emporia Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking more members — but it also wants to know how it can better serve its current members.
New Membership Director and Liaison Ben Kohl says the top priority, at least now, is listening.
And at least for now, one of the key responses is how to get involved.
An Emporia State graduate and co-owner of Gufler Mansion, Kohl is responsible for strengthening the Chamber’s mission of business and community support while building new relationships between the Chamber and local businesses.
Kohl says the Chamber currently has over 370 members but is seeking more as this effort continues. Membership value has been an important item for the Chamber after the departure of longtime president and CEO Jeanine McKenna, especially as Mike Law continues as interim president.
