The Emporia City Commission meetings this month aren’t the only city meetings going virtual.
The Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings coming Tuesday will both be livestreamed only after a barrage of threats to city commissioners and staff the last few weeks.
The Board of Zoning Appeals is tentatively set to get more information from 7Brew owners about a possible drive-thru coffee shop at 2803 Eaglecrest Drive. Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals members have expressed serious questions about traffic flow inside the parking lot, also occupied by a Taco Bell, as well as the traffic flow near 18th at both Eaglecrest and Industrial nearby. 7Brew officials have been on the last 3 BZA meetings but have not appeared to discuss traffic study plans.
Currently, the only order of business for the Planning Commission is to consider the minutes of the special meetings May 23 and 30, as well as the minutes for the July 14 meeting.
The BZA meeting begins at 6 pm Tuesday.
