Two senior defenders for the Emporia State football team have picked up additional preseason honors heading into the 2026 eason. Senior linebacker Landon Boss and redshirt senior safety Tyler Schultze have each been named to the Elite 100 Preseason Watch List by D2Football. Boss was a consensus All-American last year on the way to being the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year while Schultze was a Second Team All-MIAA player a year ago. Both players had previously been named preseason All-Americans by CFBNetwork last week. The Hornets continue their training camp through next week with reports across the entire KVOE Network of Stations each afternoon.
