Allegedly stolen items from Lyon County are part of a criminal case that has led to formal court procedures in Wabaunsee County.
The Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant in Eskridge on Thursday as part of what it calls an “ongoing criminal investigation” that led to the reported discovery of stolen fireworks from unspecified locations in Lyon County, as well as stolen checks from Linn County, Missouri potentially connected to a forgery case. A dishwasher and refrigerator were reportedly recovered from a rural Eskridge home. In addition, the Sheriff’s office says it is processing “numerous other items” believed to have been stolen, although that part of the case remains under investigation. The Sheriff’s Office says narcotics and drug paraphernalia were also recovered.
As a result, 32-year-old Hailee Masoner of Eskridge was arrested and later charged with 2 counts of burglary and single counts of theft, possessing methamphetamine and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Masoner had her first court appearance Friday. Her preliminary hearing is Aug 25.
