After a widespread power outage impacting the east half of the KVOE listening area Thursday, including almost half of Emporia, a much smaller outage developed in the city limits Saturday.
Evergy dealt with an outage affecting local customers in an area involving Commercial, Potwin, Congress and Kansas. About 50 customers lost power for over 4 hours.
Evergy says a fuse issue caused the outage.
Hundreds of Evergy customers along and east of Kansas Highway 99 and more than 2,000 customers of 4 Rivers Electric lost power Thursday.
