Parts of the KVOE listening area have seen showers and storms Wednesday morning. Additional storms are possible into late morning, along with a low-end chance of a stronger storm.
A marginal severe weather risk is in place along and north of a line from Bazaar to Emporia to Melvern for the prospect of 60 mph wind and hail to the size of walnuts or ping pong balls. The National Weather Service’s graphic information indicates the most likely time for severe storms is from late afternoon to mid-evening, although forecast details do not show any storm activity after late morning — largely because it’s unclear if storms tracking southeast out of Nebraska will move south past Interstate 70 before fizzling out.
KVOE and KVOE.com will have updates.
