Next month, Tyson Foods will auction off equipment from its processing facility in Emporia.
BidSpotter lists nearly 600 items as part of the online auction, including scales, carts, printers, barcode scanners, knife sharpeners, vacuum packers, leak detectors, lab equipment, ovens and conveyor belts among other items.
The auction comes over a year after Tyson ended its entire local operation, following its closure announcement in December 2024 affecting around 800 workers and their families.
The auction will go from 10 am Sept 4 to 10 am Sept 15. Buyer’s premium is listed at 18 percent. Sales tax is listed at 8.5 percent. Viewing dates are by appointment only.
