The Emporia State volleyball team is fourth in the 2026 MIAA Volleyball Preseason Poll. Washburn edged out Nebraska Kearney for the top spot with each team receiving 134 points in the poll, but Washburn got five first-place votes while the Lopers received four. Missouri Western was third and received two first-place votes while the Lady Hornets finished fourth and got the last two votes. Central Oklahoma rounded out the top five, which is separated by only 30 points. The season begins with a long road stretch starting Thursday at the Ferris State Tournament.
