A man initially accused in Lyon County District Court of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated battery and aggravated robbery has pleaded to a reduced count and one not originally listed.
Robert Frank Ruiz, age 47, was originally charged after an alleged incident involving Travis Kirkland on New Year’s Day. Earlier this month, and shortly before trial was supposed to begin, he pleaded no contest to one count of robbery and a single count of conspiracy to commit burglary.
Sentencing will be Sept 16. Ruiz faces anywhere from 31 to 136 months in prison, depending on his criminal history that will be determined before sentencing.
