A reported injury crash north of Emporia on Sunday led to an arrest instead of a hospital trip.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the 1-vehicle crash happened near the junction of Kansas Highway 99 and Road 240 shortly after 5 pm. The department says the crash had no medical transports afterward, but it was DUI-related so the driver was arrested. The driver’s name is not being released because there was no crash log posted online.
The crash comes with local and state law enforcement still involved in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over traffic enforcement campaign aimed specifically at halting DUI activity. The campaign ends Monday.
