Budgetary matters will lead off the regular business for the USD 251 North Lyon County Board of Education this week.
Board members will meet at 5:30 pm for the annual budget hearing. They will then likely approve the budget as part of the official regular meeting to follow at 6 pm..
Ongoing discussions about the district’s bond election to fund a new high school and athletics complex are planned, as well as the regular capital outlay, financial and legislative reports.
Both meetings are at the USD 251 board meeting room in Americus.
Meanwhile, the USD 252 Southern Lyon County Board of Education has its regular meeting at 6 pm Wednesday at the board office in Hartford, and budget policy will be featured.
Board members will have a public hearing on the Revenue Neutral Rate and then vote on whether to exceed the RNR. Board members then have a a public hearing on the budget before likely approving that document.
Other business for Wednesday includes a discussion of board goals, evaluation of Superintendent Ryan Muhlig and a facilities tour.
