Veterans Day is 2 months away — which means it is time for the very first activity on Emporia’s All Veterans Tribute event schedule.
The annual All Veterans Tribute golf tournament takes place at the Emporia Golf Course. The shotgun-style event begins at 9 am.
Other activities are planned later this year:
*The Veterans Artist Gallery exhibit goes November 4-14 at the Emporia Arts Center. The annual reception is Nov. 6 at the Arts Center
*Freedom Fest is Nov. 7 at the All Veterans Memorial and Soden’s Grove
*Emporia State’s Salute to Service game is against archrival Washburn on Nov. 7 at Welch Stadium
*The Emporia Municipal Band’s In Their Honor concert is Nov. 8 at the Emporia Granada Theatre
*Veterans Day, Nov. 11, has the annual Veterans Breakfast at Presbyterian Manor, the annual parade on Commercial Street, annual memorial service at the All Veterans Memorial and the Veterans Luncheon at the American Legion Post 5
