Emporia State sophomore outside hitter Lavra Krizanic has been named the MIAA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Lady Hornets to a 5-0 week. After beating Newman in a non-conference match, the Black & Gold went 4-0 at the MIAA-GAC Crossover with Krizanic racking up 69 kills while hitting .358 on the trip with three matches of at least 10 digs. Krizanic is hitting .267 on the season and is leading the Lady Hornets with 148 kills while ranking second in digs with 144. ESU (12-1) opens MIAA play on Friday at Pittsburg State. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m.
