A Gardner woman was injured in a rollover accident in north Lyon County Friday afternoon.
According to Lyon County Deputy Daniel Calvert, Sheriff’s Deputies and fire and EMS were called to the 100 block of US Highway 56 for a reported injury crash. Through an investigation, deputies determined that an eastbound 2006 Jeep Liberty, driven by 25-year-old Trinity Augello of Gardner, partially left the Southside of the roadway after Augello became distracted with her cell phone.
Augello overcorrected into the opposite lane of traffic and left the roadway completely before rolling an undetermined number of times. Augello suffered reported minor injuries in the accident and following an evaluation on scene was taken to Newman Regional Health for further treatment.
The investigation is still underway with possible citations pending.
