The Emporia High cross country team delivered a dominant performance at the Baldwin Invitational in Baldwin City, landing five runners in the top 20 across the boys’ and girls’ divisions.
Emma Beatty sparked the Lady Spartans’ success, charging to an impressive second-place finish overall. Madison Evans joined her in the top ten, securing ninth.
On the boys’ side, Xaden Delgado paced the pack with a sixth-place run. Walker Metcalfe followed close behind in 14th place, and Ezra Beatty crossed the line in 20th to round out a deep top-20 group for the Spartans.
The Black and Red head to Lawrence next Saturday.
