Emporia Public Schools has a special meeting soon to discuss a new strategic plan.
The Board of Education has approved an agreement with TrustCentric Consulting to start the process of a new strategic plan. TrustCentric officials will be at the meeting to facilitate group sessions with board members that will include updates on progress, future planning activities and gathering input from board members to shape the development. The purpose of the plan to build a road map that reflects where Emporia Public Schools is, and where they desire to be over the next several years, creating a strategic plan to drive Emporia Public Schools forward with purpose.
The strategic plan will include four phases over at least six months. The initial phase work is a precursor to future community surveys, forums, groups and staff input to shape the future of Emporia Public Schools. It is anticipated that the Board of Education will approve the new plan in June 2027.
