The Lebo Wolves remained perfect on the season Friday night, rolling past the Burlingame Bearcats 58-12 in Lebo to improve to 3-0 overall and 3-0 in the Lyon County League.
Lebo got on the scoreboard with 9:08 remaining in the first quarter when Eli Konrade returned a punt 50 yards for a touchdown. The Wolves never looked back from there.
Konrade had a big night for Lebo, scoring three touchdowns. In addition to his punt return, he caught an 8-yard touchdown pass from Brock Hadley and later returned an interception 38 yards for another score.
Konrade talked about getting beat earlier in the game motivating him on defense.
Lebo head coach Brian Hadley said this is a special team.
The Wolves’ defense was dominant on the ground, holding Burlingame to negative 15 rushing yards on 14 carries.
Burlingame found some success through the air, with Blake Middleton completing five passes for 103 yards and two touchdowns.
With the victory, Lebo moves to 3-0 both overall and in Lyon County League play. Burlingame falls to 0-3 on the season and 0-2 in league play.
