Tickets are now available for residents to take part in “the most exciting five minutes of fundraising” later this year.
The annual Rotary Club of Emporia Grocery Grab fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, November 14th and will once again take place at Good’s CashSaver at 2703 US Highway 50. Tickets are available from any Emporia Rotary Club member at CashSaver, costing $10 per person.
Each ticket will enter residents or organizations into two drawings, the first to take place on Saturday, November 7th, when six semi-finalists will be selected. The final drawing will take place the morning of November 14th at CashSaver, with five individuals receiving a $50 gift certificate and one lucky winner being given five minutes to race through the aisles and collect as many groceries as possible.
All who purchase tickets for the event will also receive a $5 off coupon for their next purchase of $50 or more at Good’s. Proceeds from this year’s Grocery Grab will go to benefit the Abundant Grace community meal program.
Participants must be 18 or older to enter. Rotary Club President Amanda Cunningham will join KVOE’s Newsmaker at 7:20 am Ocotber 7th to preview the event.
