For the third time in the last year, the community has a chance to hit the lottery, or rather, Loteria Friday night.
Kansas Spanish Speakers will be hosting its third Loteria, also known as the Mexican version of Bingo, at 6 pm at the Flint Hills Technical College main campus. Spanish Speakers Director Lelan Dains says that, in addition to the game itself, there will be plenty of food, refreshments and fabulous prizes available for those who attend, including the grand prize:
In addition to the fun and prizes, Dains says Loteria is also a great way to highlight local businesses, such as those that have catered the event in the past. He says this kind of promotion and recognition has always been an important piece of the Spanish Speakers’ mission.
