This past weekend, Emporia Fire responded to an elevator entrapment call at Emporia State University. It went back to campus — briefly — for another entrapment call Thursday.
Firefighters were called to the Memorial Union shortly after 7:45 am. Battalion Chief Wade Schmidt says crews were canceled while en route.
Crews went to the Towers Complex on Saturday night. Everybody inside that elevator got out safely.
