The Emporia State football team has returned to the top ten in this week’s AFCA Top 25 DII Football Coaches Poll. Ferris State remains atop the nation with all 31 first-place votes followed by Harding, Kutztown, CSU Pueblo, and MSU Mankato. The Hornets are ranked 10th off their bye last week and are the top-ranked team in the MIAA. They are also 10 in the D2Football.com Media Poll. Northwest Missouri dropped to No. 13 after their loss to UCO last week. The Bronchos are receiving votes as are Central Missouri which, like the Hornets, is undefeated in MIAA play. ESU returns to action hosting Missouri Western Saturday. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. with pregame coverage at noon on Mix 104.9.
