If you have questions about Medicare — and depending on your circumstances, you might have a lot of them — Lyon County Extension is offering an opportunity to get some answers.
Certified SHICK counselors and Extension staffers Travis Carmichael and Melody Garcia will host two Medicare Basics Q&A sessions Wednesday at the Lyon County Fairgrounds Anderson Building.
The first session is from 10:30 to 11:30 Wednesday morning, with an evening session from 5:30 to 6:30. The same information will be presented at both sessions.
Carmichael joined the KVOE Morning Show Tuesday to preview the event. He says this year’s classes will be more participant-led.
One topic expected to generate plenty of questions is Medicare Advantage Plans.
The sessions are designed for residents who are approaching age 65, caregivers of elderly family members or anyone who wants a better basic understanding of Medicare.
The Medicare Basics Q&A sessions are free to attend.
