A reported injury crash near Olpe led to a small power outage Saturday morning.
Lyon County Deputy Calvert says the wreck happened shortly after 8:30 am in the 300 block of East Kansas Highway 99 in Olpe.
Calvert says deputies saw a pickup crashed into a power pole and there was a power line down apparently as a result. Olpe Fire District 1 and Evergy were then dispatched to the scene.
Calvert says 53-year-old William Stedman of Allen was northbound on K-99 just south of Olpe right before the wreck. As the truck entered the curve south of the town, the truck left the highway before hitting a fence line and the power pole.
Stedman and his grandson had suspected minor injuries but declined medical attention.
The downed line caused about 30 Evergy customers to lose power for about 2 hours.
Deputies are investigating and have not ruled out citations in this incident.
