Flint Hills Paranormal celebrated its 10th year of existence Saturday night by inviting residents to see what it does — investigate the unknown.
About 25 people went to the Lyon County History Center to be part of “A Decade in the Dark.” Much like the group’s history, co-founder Brandy Clarke says the special event drew a wide cross-section of interest in the paranormal.
Clarke says there is no such thing as a routine investigation.
And Clarke says first thought of team investigators is to disprove any strange or weird or suspicious activity.
Saturday’s event included an investigation, but it also included information about different categories of spirits and scariest investigations.
Flint Hills Paranormal organizes the annual Spirit Fair at the History Center. Clarke believes interest in that event will continue to grow. She also anticipates calls for investigations coming from a wider radius. The group went to Missouri earlier this year, and Clarke says a request for an investigation came in this past week from Lincoln, Nebraska.
