The Emporia and Area Athletes of the Week were announced Monday morning.
Ben Collins is the EHS Athlete of the Week. The senior scored the lone EHS TD in last Friday’s loss to Washburn Rural 24-8. He rushed for a team-high 154 yards and racked up five tackles.
Ellei McCrory of Northern Heights is the Area Athlete of the Week. The long distance runner owns the fastest 5K this fall in 2A. She recently took silver in a competitive field in Junction City at the Bob Schmoekel Invitational on Saturday
