Emporia State senior linebacker Landon Boss has been named the MIAA Defensive Player of the Week for the fourth time in five games in 2026. The reigning MIAA Defensive Player of the Year finished with nine tackles including a career-high 4.5 tackles for loss to help the #10 Hornets stave off Missouri Western 34-22 last week. Boss also picked up a sack and forced a fumble in the game. Boss is the national leader in TFL’s and leads ‘The Association’ in forced fumbles. This is his seventh MIAA weekly honor in his two-year Hornet career. The now 9th-ranked Hornets hit the road to face Missouri Southern on Saturday. Coverage begins at 1:00 p.m. on Mix 104.9.
