Infrastructure matters will be the lead item for Emporia City Commissioners when they hold their regular slate of meetings Wednesday.
During their action session, commissioners will consider approving a service agreement with Duke’s Underground for a sewer inflow and infiltration assessment program. If approved, the agreement would mark the first year of a four-year initiative for “systematically” evaluating the city’s wastewater collection system.
Also, commissioners will consider awarding a base bid to S.R. Coffman Construction in the amount of $540,958 for stormwater improvements on Commercial Street between 8th and 10th Avenue.
In their study meeting, commissioners will discuss the 2027 AJGA Junior Championship recruitment event and hosting proposal and discuss rescheduling the date and time for the commission’s regular meetings on November 18th.
The meetings will begin at 11 am with the action meeting inside the Municipal Courtroom at White Auditorium.
