A special Eggs & Issues community conversation is coming this week on data centers as led by a bestselling author.
Heath Jeppson, a US Marine Corps veteran, cybersecurity and critical infrastructure specialist and the author of several books — including “The Cloud Has Hit the Ground: Data Centers, AI and the Fight for America’s Infrastructure Future” — will appear at Emporia State University’s Sauder Alumni Center on Saturday. Jeppson’s talk will focus on the explosion of data centers and “the physical infrastructure of the digital economy.” Economic development, jobs, utilities, tax base and infrastructure investment are just some of the topics expected to be discussed. There will be a Q&A component as part of the overall event.
Jeppson’s referenced book reached 6th on Amazon’s Public Policy bestseller list after it was published in May. “The Death of a Banana Republic: Infrastructure, Paralysis and the Fight to Build America’s Future” was published in August.
The Eggs & Issues event begins at 8:30 am. The first 50 attendees get a free copy of “The Cloud Has Hit the Ground.”
