The Emporia State volleyball team ticked up a spot in this week’s AVCA Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Lady Hornets went 2-0 on the road last week in MIAA play picking up victories at Northeastern State and Arkansas-Fort Smith in sweeps to go to 17-3 on the year and moved up to No. 18. Ferris State again got all but two first-place votes and was trailed by Wayne State College, Tampa, Fresno Pacific, and Nebraska-Kearney in the top 5. Missouri Western dropped a spot to 7th, Washburn was down two spots to No. 15, and Central Oklahoma returned to the poll at No. 25. Central Missouri is receiving votes. The Lady Hornets are off until playing in one of several MIAA Mid-Season Tournaments scheduled for this weekend across the league.
