After highs near 90 degrees Sunday and likely approaching a record high Monday, changes are coming to the weather forecast.
A powerful cold front will bring cooler temperatures by mid-week — along with a slight risk of severe weather. Hail, wind and heavy rain are all possible Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday night. The National Weather Service Forecast Points information page indicates up to 1.7 inches between Tuesday evening and sunrise Wednesday, with an additional inch or more from mid-morning Wednesday to Thursday evening.
High temperatures will dip from the low 90s Monday and Tuesday to the mid-70s Wednesday and Thursday before a second shot of cooler weather drops the highs to the low 60s.
KVOE, KVOE.com and Weatherology will have updates.
