Emporia High senior Harry Trelc signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to continue his basketball career at Baker University.
Trelc selected the Wildcats program after feeling a strong connection with the team and campus culture.
Off the court, the senior plans to pursue a degree in physical therapy to prepare for his post-collegiate career.
Trelc’s signing follows a standout junior campaign where he nearly doubled his scoring output, jumping from 8 points per game as a sophomore to 15 points per game last season.
Spartans head coach Evan Burns noted that the senior is still early in his development, adding that there is still significant untapped potential left in Trelc’s game.
Emporia opens its regular season Dec. 1 at home against Sunrise Christian Academy.
