After simultaneous increases in active and new COVID-19 cases for the majority of last week, active cases diminished Monday in Lyon County.
Public Health reported just five new cases bringing the overall total to 4,121 cases since last March. 15 new recoveries were also noted Monday dropping the active case total to 24.
Deaths remained unchanged at 82 with two cases pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Active hospitalizations dipped from five to four.
