Emporia State University has announced its second finalist for the provost position.
Dr. Aimee Shouse is currently the dean of Arts, Letters and Sciences at Southwest Minnesota State and has served in that role since 2017. Shouse has also served in several roles at Western Illinois, including director of Liberal Arts and Sciences. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Central Arkansas and her doctorate from Vanderbilt.
Shouse interviews Tuesday.
Shouse was announced as Dr. Angappa Gunasekaran, the current dean of the School of Business and Public Administration at Cal State-Bakersfield, has his on-site interview Monday. Additional finalists will interview March 25 and March 26.
Current Provost David Cordle is retiring at the end of the academic year.
