Once again Ron Slaymaker is retiring. After 7 seasons as the Head Girls Basketball Coach at Chase County High School Coach Slay has announced his retirement.
Coach Slaymaker made his announcement on Saturday Morning Sports Talk.
After 28 years as the head mens basketball coach at Emporia State, Coach Slaymaker retired for the first time. He holds the record for most wins in school history. He said he enjoyed coaching a girls team.
Coach Slaymaker made two state appearances with Chase County in 2015 and 2017.
