Lyon County’s latest COVID-19 data set shows another simultaneous increase in new and active coronavirus cases Friday.
Public Health announced 10 new cases between Wednesday and Friday bringing the overall total since last March to 4,116. Five new recoveries were also reported.
The active case total now stands at 34. This is the second reporting period where the county saw a rise in both the overall and active case totals as Wednesday’s data set reported 11 new cases with no recoveries.
The number of deaths remained steady at 82 with two deaths pending final cause information from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment.
Active hospitalizations remained at 5.
