CrossWinds Counseling and Wellness is expanding children’s programs, thanks to a new grant.
CrossWinds has received a $75,000 grant from the WS and EC Jones Testamentary Trust. Funds will benefit daytime, after school, summer and Positive Alternatives for Student Success programs in Lyon, Coffey and Osage counties. These programs offer therapeutic, psychosocial treatment for groups that develop appropriate social skills, coping skills, leisure time skills, behaviors and attitudes.
CrossWinds CEO Amanda Cunningham says the grant will let the agency start a “long-overdue” expansion of these programs. More information is available online at www.crosswindsks.org. CrossWinds administrators will join KVOE’s Newsmaker segment at 7:15 am Monday with details.
