The doors of one local long-term care facility will be reopening for visitors next week.
As KVOE has reported, Lyon County Commissioners approved a new public health order Thursday morning that, among other items, lifted the restrictions on long-term care facilities that have been in place for more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a news release from Holiday Resort, the facility will resume resident visits, both indoor and outdoor, Monday with a few requirements in place.
All visitors will still be screened for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 and anyone showing signs or symptoms, vaccinated or not, will not be permitted to enter the facility. Proper hand hygiene, mask use and social distancing will still be in place, indoor visits may be limited if the county positivity rate exceeds 10 percent and less than 70 percent of residents have been vaccinated and tents or designated areas may be set up for outdoor visits based on weather conditions or the health of the resident.
Holiday Resort Spokesperson Jamie Hensley will join KVOE’s Morning Show at 8:10 am Friday to discuss these developments in more depth.
