A risk of severe weather continues for parts of the KVOE listening area near Emporia.
A line of storms developed just south of the Kansas Turnpike on Wednesday evening, causing several severe thunderstorm warnings outside Emporia. To this point, no actual severe weather has been reported. Penny-sized hail has been reported near Hartford, Madison and Olpe. Heavy rain and wind gusts up to 60 mph are also possible with storms as they develop.
