Lyon County saw simultaneous increases in new and active COVID-19 cases Wednesday.
Lyon County Public Health reported 10 new cases Wednesday bringing the overall total since last March to 4,106. There were no recoveries reported between Monday and Wednesday.
Public Health Database Administrator Kate Monroe-Segobia explains there was a reporting error between Monday and Wednesday where some of the deaths in Lyon County were reported as recoveries dropping the active case total significantly. Monroe-Segobia says the issue has since been resolved and the active total now stands at 29 with 82 deaths and two cases pending final cause information from KDHE.
Active hospitalizations increased from three to five.
