Another signature event in Emporia had to change its format due to coronavirus over the weekend.
The annual St. David’s Day concert takes place at the Presbyterian Church West Campus under normal circumstances, but this year it moved online to be viewed on the St. David’s Society of Kansas Facebook page and on YouTube. The program still featured songs, prayers and poetry, even if it didn’t include the traditional tea and Welsh bread afterward.
The United Methodist churches in Lebo and Reading opened their doors to those who wanted to see the concert but did not have Internet access.
