The Emporia State womens basketball team has been selected for the 22nd time to compete in the NCAA tournament.
The Lady Hornets have received an at-large bid and will be the 6th seed.
They will play Minnesota Duluth the number 3 seed and Northern Sun tournament Champion. Tip-off for the game has been set for 8:45 pm.
Coach Toby Wynn says he feels like they earned this opportunity.
The MIAA has 4 teams in the 6 team regional.
Fort Hays State is the number 1 seed.
Nebraska Kearney, who won the MIAA Tournament Championship, is the 2 seed.
Central Missouri is the 4th seed and will play St. Cloud State.
The Regional tournament will be hosted by Central Missouri with games beginning on Friday. The Semi-finals will be played Saturday and the Championship game next Monday.
Tickets will be available thru the Central Missouri Ticket office.
