The Emporia States softball team picked up 2 more wins in the 5 State Classic Saturday.
The Lady Hornets shutout Missouri St. Louis 1-0. Kelsey Phillips was the winning pitcher picking up the shutout on 5 hits.
Abby Ward scored the games only run on a sacrifice fly in the 1st inning.
The Lady Hornets also shutout Southwest Baptist 3-0.
Brittanie Shepard drove in a run with a triple. Emma Furnish also drove in a run with a double.
Sydney Righi was the winning pitcher. She shutout SBU on 9 hits and 8 strikeouts.
The Emporia State softball team closes out the classic with games against Wayne State at noon and Quincy at 2:30p. Both games will be played at the Trusler Sports Complex.
