Several area law enforcement agencies have been working on an investigation into stolen property that now is focused on Wabaunsee County.
Sheriff Rob Hoskins says a stolen trailer carrying a large amount of apparently stolen property was found Feb. 24. Investigators believe a house in Eskridge has been used to hold stolen property, so search warrants have been obtained and what Hoskins calls a large amount of property has been found and recovered.
Hoskins is not saying whether anybody has been arrested as the investigation continues.
Hoskins has mentioned several partners in the investigation, including the Lyon and Osage county sheriff’s departments, Alma and Eskridge city officials and Eskridge businesses. Hoskins also encouraged residents to check shops, garages, unoccupied residences and properties to see if they are missing items.
