Local Girl Scout cookie sales are underway in the local community and going strong.
Now three weeks into cookie sales, Angela Cheever with Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland says cookies are “flying off the shelves” at this time. Due to the pandemic residents wishing to purchase cookies now have a variety of ways to purchase them according to Cheever.
If you are wondering where to find a cookie booth near you, you can visit Girlscoutcookies.org, enter your zip code and find the nearest booth to you. Cheever says residents should not expect door-to-door sales this year due to social distancing so residents are encouraged to call 316-684-6531 or reach out to friends or neighbors who may have a girl scout selling cookies.
Though it made some operational adjustments, the pandemic has had no effect on the assortment of cookies available for purchase. This year’s assortment includes all of the favorites such as Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Lemonades, Shortbreads, S’mores, gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip as well as the newest offering Toast-Yays.
