A Kansas Army National Guard helicopter mde a precautionary landing near the Lyon-Greenwood county line Tuesday afternoon.
The UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter landed in a field northeast of Road 10 and H, about six miles south-southwest of Olpe and about eight miles northwest of Madison. National Guard spokesperson Jane Welch says the crew had an error message directing it to land as soon as possible. The crew was able to troubleshoot the currently unspecified issue and fly back to Topeka without further incident.
The crew was on a training mission at the time. Additional details are pending.
