Travel conditions are improving after our third round of light snowfall this week.
Emporia received a dusting of snow, including a roughly 30-minute period when sunshine and snow coexisted. Other totals:
*Gridley: 1.2 inches
*BETO Junction: 3 inches
Sunshine and temperatures in the teens have helped the local driving conditions. Major arterials have gone from covered to partly covered, as have several residential collector streets. Side streets are covered and slick. Highway conditions are partly to completely covered from the Kansas Turnpike to the east, while highways west of the Turnpike are seasonal or dry.
